Skills Development Programmes

Dube TradePort Corporation is intent on creating learning and skills development opportunities.

The organisation recognises that thousands of graduates enter the job market annually, but many are unable to find employment. There clearly exists a gap between university and the workplace, a gap which must be plugged if career opportunities are to become a widespread reality. 

In view of this, Dube TradePort Corporation has pledged to play a meaningful and pro-active role in assisting to bridge this gap, preparing our youth for the workplace through a variety of learning and skills development opportunities.

The organisation offers three skills development programmes, namely:

• An Internship Programme for unemployed graduates;
• An In-Service Training Programme in different functional areas; and
• A Financial Assistance or Bursary Scheme for engineering and related qualifications.

Financial Assistance Opportunities:

Dube TradePort Corporation is offering financial assistance to students who are residents of KwaZulu-Natal and are interested in pursuing a tertiary qualification. Applicants should have already been accepted/provisionally accepted/or in possession of a CAO application receipt.

Dube TradePort Corporation is currently assisting qualifying candidates who are studying:

• Engineering;
• Agriculture;
• IT; and
• Maritime.
